PLDA and Mentor Graphics strengthen longstanding technical collaboration
SAN JOSE, Calif. -- March 25, 2014 -- PLDA, the industry leader in PCI Express IP solutions today announced that PLDA and Mentor Graphics have made significant progress toward effective interoperability between their respective products. The technical collaboration at the heart of the improved interoperability was accomplished by using PLDA PCIe IP during regression testing, across multiple test scenarios, for the Mentor Graphics Questa functional verification platform, including Questa Verification IP (VIP).
"Proven interoperability between multiple PCIe technology vendors is a fundamental cornerstone for PCIe robustness," said Stephane Hauradou, CTO of PLDA. "After having run the interoperability process with multiple systems, ASSP, chipsets, PHY IPs, we are now going one step further with interoperability in the design and verification flow itself, to provide more value to our customers."
"We have strengthened and grown our partnership with PLDA to engage in technical projects that benefit our mutual customers and prospects," said Dennis Brophy, director of strategic business development, Mentor. "The latest collaboration is particularly beneficial to our customers using PCIe in advanced designs that use the ARM AMBA 4 AXI interface protocol."
The result of this technical collaboration is improved chip design and verification quality, along with an easier and more robust design flow. Mutual customers can shave months of effort and time off their design and verification cycles and get their products to market faster.
