Perceptia Announces Availability of Cryogenic 10-bit ADC and DAC IP in GF 22FDX
Sydney, Australia – December 8, 2025 – Perceptia Devices today announced the availability of its new cryogenic 10-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC) and 10-bit digital-to-analog converter (DAC) intellectual property (IP) in GlobalFoundries’ 22FDX® process technology.
Developed to operate at cryogenic temperatures, Perceptia’s 10-bit ADC and DAC IP blocks are specifically designed for use in emerging applications such as quantum computing, superconducting electronics, and lownoise sensor interfaces. The availability of these converters in GF’s advanced 22FDX® FD-SOI technology platform provides researchers and developers with high-performance, low-power mixed-signal IP optimised for deep cryogenic environments.
“Quantum and cryogenic system designers face unique challenges where conventional IP is not sufficient,” said Tim Robins, VP Engineering at Perceptia Devices. “Our 10-bit cryogenic ADC and DAC provide the precision, robustness, and power efficiency needed for operation at extremely low temperatures, and the move to GF 22FDX enables broader adoption in advanced research and commercial development.”
The 10-bit cryogenic ADC delivers accurate digitisation of analog signals at low noise levels, while the 10-bit cryogenic DAC provides precise signal generation for control and measurement systems. Together, they form a matched pair of mixed-signal interfaces optimised for cryogenic environments, ensuring high fidelity and reliability in next-generation computing and sensing applications.
By making these IP blocks available in GF’s 22FDX technology, Perceptia is enabling customers to accelerate the development of cryogenic systems with proven, silicon-ready solutions that reduce integration risk and speed time-to-market.
