Specsoft releases a USB 2.0 HS OTG reference design complete with a working application powered by an embedded USB 2.0 OTG Linux Stack
September 28, 2005 -- Specsoft releases a USB 2.0 HS OTG reference design complete with a working application powered by an embedded USB 2.0 OTG Linux Stack. The development system is based on an ARM9 Processor and Specsoft's SPCOTG20 USB 2.0 HS OTG SIP.
USB On-The-Go (OTG) is a supplement to the USB specification that increases the capability of existing USB peripherals by adding host functionality to connect to other USB peripherals and vice versa.
Specsoft USB 2.0 OTG Linux Stack works in conjunction with our OTG IP Core to deliver an effective system solution. The base stack is customizable to realize a varied mix of target environments.
Specsoft USB 2.0 OTG Linux stack based on Linux Kernel 2.4.19 is available with full source code, documentation and support for eventual system integration and development. The OTG stack is based on a modular architecture with full API support for retargeting to different operating systems and target platforms. Pure firmware based implementations of OTG applications are also available. Specsoft's OTG stack is part of the comprehensive offering covering the entire gamut of system development applications using USB 2.0 HS OTG.
