Andes and Arculus System Collaborate to Integrate iPROfiler™ into AndeSysC, Expanding Virtual Platform Support for RISC-V SoC Design

Hsinchu, Taiwan – October 13, 2025 – Arculus System, a leading provider of advanced EDA and AI-driven software solutions, today announced its collaboration with Andes Technology, a leading supplier of high-performance, low-power 32/64-bit RISC-V processor cores and a founding Premier member of RISC-V International. As a result of this collaboration, Arculus System’s flagship product, iPROfiler™, has been successfully integrated into Andes’ AndeSysC, enhancing early-stage performance analysis and system optimization for developers of RISC-V SoCs.

iPROfiler™ is an AI-EDA performance analysis tool designed for SoC engineers. It enables designers to efficiently analyze RTL simulation results and bus activities based on AMBA protocols, including AXI, AHB, and APB. With iPROfiler™, designers can quickly identify performance bottlenecks, such as high-latency transactions or bandwidth overuse, and optimize memory access performance. By transforming waveform data into clear, AI-assisted reports, iPROfiler™ allows designers to pinpoint abnormal transactions and memory issues within seconds. It supports both PMT and VCD data inputs, ensuring flexible and efficient integration.

AndeSysC is an advanced virtual platform solution by Andes for RISC-V SoC development, based on SystemC. It provides a flexible, extensible model library of AndesCore V5 RISC-V processor IP, enabling rapid prototyping. By allowing software engineers to parallelize development with hardware design, AndeSysC shortens the development cycle and reduces risk. It supports custom instruction simulations via Andes Automated Custom Extension (ACE) and integrates third-party IP via TLM-2.0 protocol. AndeSysC accelerates profiling and performance estimations, while fostering efficient hardware/software co-design and optimization, further streamlining RISC-V SoC innovation.

Through this collaboration, AndeSysC gains enhanced visibility into system performance during the early design stages. By integrating iPROfiler™, teams can quickly identify performance bottlenecks and evaluate whether the bandwidth of integrated IPs meets design expectations. The detailed profiling feedback enables early-stage architectural optimization and fosters closer collaboration between hardware and software teams — ultimately improving memory performance and design efficiency.
