VLIW/SIMD 1-64-bit NMC Core Has Included to Synopsys IP Catalyst Program
Moscow, Russia October 2, 2000 - Research Center "Module", a leading Russian developer of high-end DSP and Silicon Intellectual Property, today announced that NeuroMatrix® Core (NMC) has been approved by Synopsys to be included to its on-line IP Catalyst(sm) for integration ready commercial IP. The core has been licensed by Fujitsu Microelectronics Europe GmbH, but now it is available for integration with any ASIC technologies that are compatible with Synopsys's world-class design flow.
The 32/64-bit VLIW RISC and 1-64-bit SIMD Vector co-processor produce an outstanding performance in image processing, radar and telecommunication applications. The real (not peak) performance it achieves on the 9x9 convolution filter is more than 3000 MIPS at 100 MHz. The NMC deliverables include both Verilog RTL synthesizable description and optimized Fujitsu 0.25um CE71 Verilog netlist, Synopsys DC scripts, Verilog test suite, documentation and strong PC based Software/Hardware Development Kit.
