PLDA Achieves PCI Express 3.0 Compliance for XpressSWITCH IP, Adding to its List of PCI Express Compliant Products

PLDA’s XpressSWITCH Passed PCI Express 3.0 Compliance Testing, Making it the Industry’s Only PCI-SIG Tested Embedded PCIe Switch IP Available Today

SAN JOSE, Calif., May 26, 2016 -- PLDA, the industry leader in PCI Express® and interface IP solutions today announced another addition to the PCI-SIG® Integrators List, XpressSWITCH™ IP, adding to the company’s suite of tested and certified products. In the past years, PLDA has achieved PCI Express (PCIe®) compliance for eight of its PCIe interconnect IP products, underscoring a commitment to rigorously tested and easy-to-integrate products. The latest product, the PLDA XpressSWITCH™, a customizable multiport embedded switch IP that provides switching logic along with one upstream and multiple embedded or external downstream ports, passed PCIe 3.0 compliance tests at the PCI-SIG Compliance Workshop in April 2016. PLDA’s XpressSWITCH Switch IP is currently the only embedded Switch IP to achieve PCIe 3.0 compliance at both 8 GT/s and 5 GT/s.

The following PLDA products have achieved PCIe compliance in the past three years and are listed on the PCI-SIG Integrators List, highlighting PLDA’s dedication to product quality:

“At PLDA, we see significant benefits from achieving specification compliance with important industry standards such as those provided by PCI-SIG. Compliant products provide assurance to our customers that our IP will integrate easily and work perfectly in their designs,” said Stephane Hauradou, CTO of PLDA. “Following the successful testing of our XpressSWITCH product at 5GT/s, PLDA’s engineers focused on achieving PCIe 3.0 compliance at 8 GT/s. We are now pleased to add one more PCIe compliant product to our product line, which is the industry’s only PCIe compliant embedded Switch IP for both PCIe 2.0 and PCIe 3.0 data rate speeds.”

PCI-SIG is the consortium that owns and manages PCI specifications as open industry standards. Its compliance workshops offer members the opportunity to test and validate their products before they enter the field. Testing is completed against PCI-SIG maintained systems, as well as other leading manufacturers of PCIe products. The rigorous testing process includes interoperability testing on a range of PC hardware products, transaction layer and data link testing, physical layer testing and configuration testing.

“We’re pleased that PLDA has passed PCIe 3.0 compliance testing,” said Al Yanes, PCI-SIG president and chairman. “Companies such as PLDA that participate in PCIe specification compliance testing help ensure the continued expansion of the PCIe architecture to the next generation of high-speed peripheral devices across the globe.”
