LTRIM LTR8333 Power-On Reset Digital System Supervisor
MONTREAL, Jan 26, 2005 – LTRIM Technologies, an innovative leader in CMOS analog virtual components and laser fine tuning technologies, today announced the availability of the LTR8333 Power-On Reset (POR). The LTR8333 is a digital system supervisor virtual component IP used to monitor the power supply voltage of critical digital blocks in SoC applications. A reset signal is activated when it detects out-of-tolerance power supply conditions. The POR is available in TSMC process.
The LTR8333 provides an ultra low supply current, less than 2.9 µA for a range of 1.7V to 3.3V input voltage. LTR8333 guarantees the reset output state to remain valid for Vcc down to 0.7 V. The high-performance POR virtual component includes a voltage reference and an asynchronous counter blocks, eliminating the need for external components and increasing target applications. Other features include: ± 3% voltage accuracy over temperature (-55 °C to +125 °C), customized reset timeout period, and Vcc transient immunity. All these features make the LTR8333 the ultimate choice for SoC designs.
“The LTR8333 offers unique features to efficiently monitor the power-supply of a microprocessor-based SoC,” said Mike Shamshirian, LTRIM Vice-President of Sales and Marketing. “This IP block increases SoC reliability and reduces the cost by eliminating external components.”
LTRIM’s high-performance power management and other analog intellectual property (IP) easily integrate into mixed-signal SoCs and analog ICs for overall bill-of-material cost savings, higher reliability and performance, and exceptional accuracy. The LTR8333 is offered for customer use in TSMC CMOS technology.
