Actions Semiconductor to License Its Power Meter Technology

The power meter business unit of Actions was established in 2002, and currently accounts for a small percentage of total revenue. This new licensing model should enable the Company to better focus its efforts on the Company's core business of system-on-a-chip ICs and solutions for the portable consumer electronics market. Actions will license its power meter related technology to a technology partner in exchange for royalty fees.

"Our power meter business not only accounts for a small percentage of our total revenue, but it is quite different from our principal line of business in consumer products in terms of customers and value proposition.
