BOSTON--Sept. 19, 2005--Fall 2005 VON, (Booth #135) -- VOCAL Technologies Ltd., a leading provider of telecommunications and networking solutions, announced today that SOC Technology GmbH & Co. KG, a German manufacturer of ASIC and System-on-Chip Designs, has adopted VOCAL's new VoIP Speaker Phone Reference design for production slated to begin this autumn.
"We are excited to release our customers line of user-friendly VoIP Speaker phones," said Martin Damrau, CEO of SOC Technology. "The technology designed together with VOCAL will allow us to provide our customers with quality VoIP products for use in their day-to-day operations."
The reference design released by VOCAL Technologies, Ltd. outlines the production of an office telephone that is able to take advantage of the low costs of Internet telephony services. The telephone design includes a modern handset, LCD display, a 10 Mbps Ethernet port, display driver, and an FXS port to provide BORSCHT (Battery, Overvoltage, Ringing, Signalling, Coding, Hybrid, and Testing) functions to external telephones or facsimile machines.
