Verisity Introduces Online Portal for the Verification Community

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 9, 2001-- Verisity Ltd. (Nasdaq:VRST), a provider of functional verification automation software tools, today announced the Verification Vault(TM) -- an online portal for Verisity's customers. The Verification Vault -- https://www.VerificationVault.com -- addresses the needs of both new and advanced users by providing a wide range of verification information including general verification information, code examples and software. The online portal will also foster better interaction within the verification community by enabling users to exchange information, ideas and shareware via the Internet.

``Verisity initiated their Club Verification users' group conferences because they saw a verification community forming and they wanted to create a forum where users can interact and share ideas,'' said Greg Mokler, Club Verification(TM) Steering Committee Member. ``The Verification Vault is another avenue that Verisity is using to bring users together and encourage interaction between them. The Verification Vault complements the users' group conferences because it will give users access to valuable technical resources and let them interact as a community.''

The Verification Vault is an extensive knowledge base including frequently asked questions about verification methodology, workarounds for common problems, software patches, proceedings from Verisity's Club Verification users' group conferences, instant access to support and the latest product documentation and software downloads for Specman Elite(TM), Verification Advisor(TM), e Verification Components (eVCs(TM)), SureLint(TM) and SureCov(TM).

``The Verification Vault adds one more layer to the verification solution we provide to customers,'' said Ric Chope, Verisity's director of Marketing Communications who is also responsible for all Web development activities, including the Verification Vault. ``The unique aspect here is that the information in the Verification Vault addresses methodology issues so that engineers can use this as an everyday resource to get their jobs done.''

Later this year, the Verification Vault will become interactive by the addition of an online newsgroup as well as a shareware exchange. Users can post and reply to messages through the newsgroup while the shareware exchange will include both shareware from Verisity as well as customer donations. In addition, Verisity's Verification Alliance consulting partners will have a separate area where they will be able to post technical information and specifications about the eVCs they have developed and link to pages where customers can purchase them.

``The Verification Vault is a great verification resource,'' said Steven Ray, senior member of Technical Staff, Logic Verification for Rambus. ``Being able to access methodology and e examples, documentation, workarounds, and download software when I want helps me to be more efficient. Verisity has always done a great job in helping their users be successful and having the Verification Vault online puts a wealth of information at my finger tips.''
