Truechip announces first customer shipment of USB Type-C and Power Delivery Comprehensive Verification IP (CVIP)
Aug 26, 2015 - Truechip Solutions, the verification IP specialist, announced today that it has shipped early adopter version of its USB Type-C and Power Delivery Comprehensive Verification IP (CVIP) to its partners in the early adoption program.
This CVIP is natively developed in SystemVerilog (UVM) and is architected such that a single VIP is able to provide comprehensive, seamless Block, SoC and System Level Verification across dynamic simulation, assertion based dynamic and formal verification, as well as support for hardware acceleration and emulation. The CVIP is compatible with all industry leading simulators and hardware platforms.
Nitin Kishore, CEO of Truechip, said in a statement, “Release of this CVIP gives completeness to our USB family of Verification IPs. We now have USB3.1, USB3, USB2 and USB PD/ Type C Verification IPs. Not only due to flexibility and small size of the Type C Connector, but also with larger power requirements from the USB ports, Type C connector is expected to replace existing usb, power and display related connectors on the tablets, laptops and desktops. Our existing USB platform and knowledge has enabled us to develop a highly configurable Verification IP designed to enable seamless, high quality verification of devices targeting these market segments.”
