SILICONGATE Presents the 3rd Gen Flagship DC/DC at the 52nd DAC

Available at TSMC, UMC, GLOBALFOUNDRIES and SMIC

San Francisco, USA, June 8, 2015 – SILICONGATE LDA, a specialized supplier of Power Management IP for ASIC/SoC, today started demonstrating the 3^rd generation DC/DC converter at the 52^nd DAC in San Francisco, with a TSMC28HPM DC/DC. At the show, a demonstration test setup allows visitors to verify the DC/DC converter performance and to compare it with another market DC/DC.

SILICONGATE keeps improving its IPs performance and introducing new Power Management IPs. The third generation offers more control options and higher performance allowing the customers to select the best control configurations via software and reducing the pressure for complete definition before tapeout.

"Output coil and capacitor definition is no longer an issue”, said Floriberto Lima, CEO of SiliconGate. “This is a real advantage for customers, we have already two customers that, after TO, received requests from the market to change for smaller lower value components and we have been able to support that by just providing new software configurations.”
