S2C Single VU440 Prodigy FPGA Prototyping Board for Xilinx Virtex UltraScale 440 FPGA Now Available
Prodigy™ VU Logic Module Boasts Smallest Form Factor, All-Purpose, Stand-Alone Prototyping System
SAN JOSE, Calif. -- May 18, 2015 -- S2C, Inc., a leading provider of FPGA-based rapid prototyping solutions, has announced the availability of its Single VU440 Prodigy Logic Module that supports the latest Xilinx Virtex UltraScale 440 FPGA. The Single VU440 Prodigy LM is the smallest form factor (260 x 170mm) stand-alone FPGA prototyping system and provides:
- 2x density and 20% more user I/Os compared to the V7 series
- 8 high-performance all-purpose Prodigy connectors for a variety of system interfaces and 2 GT connectors for high-speed serial connectivity
- DDR4 and built-in PCIe3 support
- Full scalability – can be used as standalone or in Cloud Cube enterprise modes
- Abundant add-on features
Multiple Single VU Logic Modules can be conveniently connected together to expand capacity, and up to 16 Logic Modules can be configured in a Cloud Cube, enterprise-class prototyping system to support a large-scale SoC design.
The Single VU Logic Module features 6th generation remote management functions through either USB or Ethernet. Prodigy Player Pro Runtime Software is included and can be run on both Windows and Linux computers to perform basic functions such as FPGA download, write/read on-board SD card for off-line download, clock and reset set-up, I/O voltage settings, hardware monitoring, and self-test. The Player Pro Runtime Software also supports Virtual SWs & LEDs for simple tasks such as changing a setting or indicating a condition remotely, and automatically determining what daughter cards are installed on Logic Modules or cable setups between connectors.
"Our customers are now able to take full advantage of the power of Xilinx's Virtex UltraScale FPGA devices with our Single VU440 Prodigy Logic Module," commented Toshio Nakama, CEO of S2C. "The Single VU Prodigy Logic Module is thoroughly integrated into our Prodigy Complete Prototyping Platform giving our users the most comprehensive solution in FPGA prototyping. Our complete solution allows users to realize benefits throughout the design flow and accelerate time-to-market."
