Plug and Play" - Sican presents CryptoStick for Virtual Private Networks
Hanover, July 29, 1999. At SiTech Berlin '99 (October 26 - 29), the international trade show for security systems, Sican presents the CryptoStick, a hardware component for safeguarding existing local networks. The product is available as of now and represents excellent value for money. Sican has accumulated almost a decade of experience in developing cryptography solutions. In the area 'Electronic Security' (hall 2.2, stall B20) the Hanover-based company will be introducing the newly developed CryptoStick to a world-wide audience.
Due to the ever increasing rate of information exchange and the digitalisation of transactions of all kinds, ensuring the privacy and validity of transmitted information is gaining a pivotal role. Parts of the data and telephony networks spanning the globe are turned into Virtual Private Networks. It has to be ensured that third parties will not gain access to sensitive data without incurring excessive costs. The Sican software modules are suitable for all common cryptography algorithms such as DES, triple DES, RSA, IDEA, and can be integrated into existing systems – plug-and-play, easy installation for instantaneous deployment.
Compared to other currently available systems the CryptoStick is very versatile. The architecture has been optimised for cryptographic functions and offers integrated key management. Hence, it is also suitable for proprietary algorithms. The CryptoStick can be adapted to different user applications. Furthermore, the flexible interface enables compatibility with various standard interfaces.
