SAN JOSE - In a move to develop single-chip solutions for next-generation systems, LinkUp Systems Corp. here has announced a major partnership with Arm Ltd. LinkUp has joined the Arm Partnership program, while also licensed that company's ARM720T RISC-based processor core for use in a future line of chip products targeted at the Internet-access and mobile equipment markets. "With this new ARM720T core license, LinkUp will be able to position itself as a premier supplier of ARM core-based system-on-a-chip solutions for a very wide range of system applications," said Ravi Bhatnagar, president and chief executive of LinkUp.
