Infinite Technology Corporation joins Virage Logic Partner Program
RICHARDSON, TX May 8, 2002 – Infinite Technology Corporation (“ITC”) (OTC Pink Sheets: ITCJ), a system-on-chip (SoC) design services and technology firm, announced today that it has joined Virage Logic Corporation’s Memory Alliance Program (MAP). MAP was formed to foster the continued expansion and use of embedded memory in system-on-chip (“SoC”) designs. Virage Logic plans to leverage ITC’s SoC design expertise with MAP to address the challenges associated with embedded memory such as lower cost-per-bit, higher yield, higher performance and lower power. Building advanced memory expertise within design firms like ITC allows embedded memory customers to outsource design, thereby helping them meet time-to-market pressures.
Consisting of foundries, IP suppliers, EDA vendors, design service providers and test vendors, MAP is a proactive program that brings together all the enabling technology players to ensure that embedded memory will be a driver, rather than a bottleneck, for data-intensive applications. In order to proliferate the use of embedded memory, Virage Logic is partnering with these companies to incorporate their technology with its own. MAP aims to address the challenges associated with embedding memory such as lower cost-per-bit, higher yield, higher performances and lower power.
According to Robert L. Veal, ITC’s vice president of marketing and sales, “Our participation in Virage Logic’s MAP provides ITC with access to more advanced embedded memory IP which enhances our full range of SoC design services so that ITC can help our customers enter the market sooner.”
