Under the agreement, Honeywell ACS gains access to IndigoVision's VideoBridge® technology, which can be used in a range of security-based video solutions for residential, commercial and industrial applications. VideoBridge is IndigoVision's protocol for communicating between devices that view, record, retrieve and analyze video.
"This technology will enable us to provide our customers with greater picture quality at a lower cost than traditional analog and hybrid analog/digital solutions, " said Roger Fradin, president of Automation and Control Products.
"Honeywell ACS's decision to license VideoBridge is a further significant endorsement of our technology and will enable us to increase our presence in the North American market. The signing of the market leader in security alarms further confirms the establishment of VideoBridge as the de facto standard for Live Networked Video," said Oliver Vellacott, CEO of IndigoVision.
