Faraday Technology Signs Sales Representative Agreement with Digital Core Design (DCD) on RISC microprocessor cores and peripheral technologies
Bytom, Poland and Hsinchu, Taiwan – February 24, 2004 - Faraday Technology Corporation becomes an Asian Sales Representative of DCD. The agreement is signed with the understanding that the DCD IP Cores portfolio would meet the Asian market demand for ASIC/FPGA IPs, which includes microprocessors, microcontrollers and peripherals, serial bus interfaces, floating point units and coprocessors. The extent of the geographical coverage includes major Asia countries such as Taiwan, Mainland China, Korea, and Japan.
“The Digital Core Design cores characterize an industry-leading combination of high performance, low power, and small die size. By dint of DCD on Chip Debugging technology, each one of our microprocessor and microcontroller core is equipped with built-in hardware debugger, which makes software validation and debugging much easier.” said Jacek Hake, president of DCD.
“Faraday is a reliable partner with strong practical knowledge of DCD’s IP Cores. The agreement covers not only the DCD’s 8051 microcontrollers but also the on-chip debugging technology. This mutual cooperation with Faraday allows DCD to access ASIC market as a reliable third party SoC solutions vendor”, Jacek Hake added.
“We are very pleased to represent DCD in Asia-Pacific region. By adding DCD’s IP portfolios with Faraday’s abundant silicon-proven IP pools, we can further strengthen our ability to provide our customers with cost effective design solutions, particularly on the popular applications such as MP3 and Flash Drives.” Said Frankwell Lin, V.P. of sales of Faraday.
