Elixent appoints new VP of worldwide sales
Bristol, UK -- January 23 2006 -- Elixent, the leader in reconfigurable semiconductor IP, has promoted Kevin Christensen to VP of worldwide sales from his previous position as director of North American business development. Kevin is now responsible for Elixent’s global sales operations, including expanding the company’s customer base and establishing strategic partnerships worldwide. He continues to be based in California.
Kevin joined Elixent in 2002. He previously worked for Motorola, Conexant and Endpoints at vice-president and director level, where he was responsible for developing and leading business strategy, strategic partnerships and product marketing. He was key in developing the strategy and partnership between Motorola and Kodak for the joint development of CMOS sensors. He also developed the strategy and performed due diligence for Conexant's $43 million acquisition of Sierra Imaging.
"Kevin is a tremendous asset to Elixent in North America. This promotion will enable him to broaden his charge and utilise his expertise in other key markets, such as Japan," said Kenn Lamb, CEO of Elixent. “His appointment is key to the expansion of our customer base beyond the major silicon vendors we are already working with as well as the maintenance of our current high standard of customer support and satisfaction.”
About Elixent
Elixent is the leading supplier of production-ready reconfigurable semiconductor IP, a technology that provides users with the ability to change the function of a chip even whilst in use. D-Fabrix, the company’s patented reconfigurable algorithm processing (RAP) technology, provides ASIC designers with a flexible alternative to fixed function chips but without consuming the level of power normally associated with programmable technologies.
This combination is of particular benefit to companies producing electronic products for imaging and communications applications in consumer and industrial markets. The low power consumption makes D-Fabrix particularly attractive for mobile and battery powered products.
Elixent is working with a number of tier one semiconductor manufacturers, including Panasonic and Toshiba. Visit http://www.elixent.com for more information.
