Domain Technologies Joins the LSI Logic ZSP Solution Partner Program
PLANO, TX, April 12, 2005
– Domain Technologies announces the availability of its complete line of development tools to support the LSI Logic ZSP family of licensable digital signal processors (DSP).
“With the adoption of the ZSP processors for applications such as 3G wireless handsets, set-top boxes and VoIP appliances, where design complexity is increasing exponentially, it’s imperative to have robust tools to meet shrinking time-to-market expectations,” said Tuan Dao, vice president and general manager of the ZSP Product Division, LSI Logic. “Domain Technologies provides a powerful set of hardware development tools that enable our customers to innovate their products quickly and easily.”
ZSP Development Tools
Domain Technologies’ comprehensive debug tools enhance the control and interaction of debug sessions for small or large projects even with developers in different geographical locations. BoxViewTM, the Microsoft Windows®-based, high-level language debugger is used in conjunction with BoxServerTM to provide debug connectivity for projects of multiple targets, multiple users, and/or remote TCP/IP access. In addition, Domain offers the ZSP-QUAD-JTAG adapter to daisy-chain multiple devices for synchronous debugging. Such flexibility and scalability promotes the cost-effective use of both hardware and software resources.
Two JTAG emulators are offered to support efficient and convenient in circuit testing throughout the ZSP development cycle. The ZSP-USB-JTAG is both compact and portable, and the SB-USB2 has upload/download rates up to 5 times faster. Both integrate well with LSI Logic’s debuggers as well as Domain’s BoxView.
Many evaluation and development boards are available from Domain Technologies to promote fast and reliable prototyping of the ZSP IP cores. Two new FPGA-based boards are available for the ZSPneo IP core: the low cost DTSP3EB features a Xilinx Spartan-3 FPGA; the advanced DTSTXEB features an Altera Stratix FPGA with access to peripherals and external memory.
