Digital Core Design releases DMAC, a Media Access Controller IP Core
- DMAC 10/100 Mb Media Access Controller has been released. The DMAC is hardware implementation of media access control protocol defined by the IEEE standard. It is developed as an extension peripheral to use with DCD's and customer's microcontrollers and microprocessors. DMAC is capable of transmitting and receiving Ethernet frames to and from the network. Half and full duplex modes are supported, as well 10 and 100 Mbit/s speeds. Its fully configurable processor bus allows easy migration to System on Chip solution either in ASIC and FPGA.
This IP Core has broad range of configuration parameters allowing user to choose only requested features, to save silicon space and significantly reduce production costs. Configuration is prepared by effortless change of appropriate constants in package file. There is no need to change any parts of the source code, so there is no additional risk related to code modification.
Customer can select VHDL, VERILOG HDL Source code, and FPGA Netlists depends what is preferred. Core is licensed under Single Design or Unlimited Designs options. For further details please contact DCD - http://www.dcd.pl/acontact.php
