Agere Systems expands licensing agreement with Silicon Hive for HiveFlex processors
-- Silicon Hive announced today that Agere Systems in Allentown Pennsylvania USA expanded its licensing relationship with Silicon Hive. Agere Systems signed a new license agreement for Silicon Hive's HiveFlex CSP 2000 Series application specific communications processors. Agere's Telecommunications & Enterprise Networking business unit is using the HiveFlex CSP 2000 processor in communications applications.
This second license expands the relationship between Agere Systems and Silicon Hive. Previously Agere Systems licensed Silicon Hive’s award winning HiveFlex XSP 1000 Series processors (previously called Avispa) for an integrated circuit targeting consumer printing applications.
George Szanto, Vice President of Marketing at Silicon Hive said, “we have had a successful on-going relationship with Agere Systems since 2004 and are pleased to be able to provide an additional new HiveFlex core to them in a new application domain. We intend to keep working closely with Agere Systems as a valuable customer in their pursuit to push the envelope of innovative communications integrated circuits.”
