Xilinx UltraScale 20nm Devices Enable JDSU ONT 400G Ethernet Test Platform
New JDSU Test Platform Features Xilinx UltraScale 20nm FPGAs, Accelerates 400G Product Development, Validation and Interoperability
SAN JOSE, Calif., April 7, 2015 -- Xilinx, Inc. (NASDAQ: XLNX) today announced that its Virtex® UltraScale™ 20nm FPGA is enabling the JDSU ONT 400G Ethernet test platform. This new platform delivers 400G bandwidth and ensures precise analysis on a true packet-to-packet basis to support the needs and complexity of advanced 400G applications. The Xilinx® Virtex® UltraScale™ VU095 device is a key component of the ONT 400G Ethernet test platform, providing unprecedented levels of performance, system integration, and bandwith – allowing a single path architecture for minimal chip-to-chip overhead.
"The Virtex UltraScale device is enabling our ONT 400G solution to deliver the power and flexibility required to accelerate the development, validation and inter-operation of 400G products," said Paul Brooks, product line manager at JDSU.
The JDSU ONT 400G Ethernet test platform is based on the company's ONT architecture, which introduced the concept of comprehensive module stress testing using less equipment. This industry leadership and know-how has been applied to support and validate the complexity and needs of advanced 400G transponders and 400G pluggables.
