TUV Rheinland selects SeaSolve Software's IEEE 802.15.4 WPAN PHY Layer Compliance Test and Analysis Solution
– SeaSolve Software Inc announced that TUV Rheinland of North America has selected SeaSolve's WPAN Test Suite for services related to testing and pre-certifying ZigBee platforms for IEEE 802.15.4 conformance.
TUV Rheinland of North America, Inc (Subsidiary of the TUV Rheinland Group) is one of the ZigBee appointed test facilities. TUV Rheinland has recently introduced testing and certification services for IEEE 802.15.4 MAC/PHY and ZigBee Platforms.
Seasolve is developing commercial test and verification products for Wireless Personal Area Networking (PAN) and Local Area Networking (LAN).
The two companies are working together where TUV Rheinland develops tests around IEEE 802.15.4 MAC and stack related test plans of the ZigBee Alliance, with TUV Rheinland focusing on the development of these test cases while Seasolve provides the 'official' test hardware and software for the PHY layer. Seasolve's product will form part of the building block of the certification test environment for TUV Rheinland.
The WPAN test suite comprises of WiPAN LVCT, WiPAN LVSA and WiPAN LVSG that stand for WPAN Compliance Tool, Signal Analyzer and Signal Generator respectively developed on NI-PXI platform.
