Trond Sæther, PhD Joins Falanx Board of Directors
Los Angeles, Calif. - August 2, 2005 At SIGGRAPH 2005, Falanx Microsystems, Inc. the premier developer of mobile graphics/video IP cores for System-on-Chip (SoC) semiconductor manufacturers, today announced that Trond Sæther, PhD has joined the Falanx board of directors, effective immediately. Sæther is the technical director of Nordic Semiconductor ASA, and serves on the boards of several prominent technology companies and educational institutions.
"With nearly 25 years of experience in the technology industry and an impressive track record of technical accomplishments, Trond Sæther will be a valuable addition to the board as we promote the continued growth of Falanx," said Ottar Kristiansen, chairman of the board at Falanx Microsystems.
Dr. Sæther holds a Masters of Science degree and a Ph.D. in the field of Analog MOS Integrated Circuits at the University of Trondheim, the Norwegian Institute of Technology. He also earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Møre & Romsdal school of Engineering, Division of Electrical Engineering in Ålesund, Norway.
In addition to his impressive academic credentials, Dr. Sæther is a co-founder of Nordic VLSI, to which he contributed more than 100 complex VLSI designs. Dr. Sæther's writings have been published in some of the most prestigious technical publications in the industry, and he has served as an educator and visiting researcher at major Universities around the world.
