MOSAID Announces Changes to Board of Directors

OTTAWA -- Feb. 2, 2007 - MOSAID Technologies Incorporated (TSX: MSD) today announced the appointment of Mr. Robert Kramer to its Board of Directors. Mr. Kramer is the Managing Partner and founder of Altitude Capital Partners of New York, a private investment firm whose focus is providing capital to companies involved in all areas of Intellectual Property (IP).

Pursuant to both the settlement agreement between Loeb Partners and MOSAID dated September 22, 2006, and the approval of the Board, Mr. Kramer has replaced Mr. Emmett Murtha, who has stepped down because of the possibility that his business may conflict with that of MOSAID's.

Mr. Kramer brings a wide range of investment banking and IP experience to MOSAID. Prior to founding Altitude Capital Partners, Mr. Kramer was a Managing Director at Fortress Investment Group, where he was responsible for sourcing, structuring and executing investments in numerous asset classes. Before that, Mr. Kramer was an investment banking Managing Director with Merrill Lynch & Co., where he developed expertise in litigation assets and claims. He holds an MBA from the Columbia University Graduate School of Business, and an honors degree from the Wharton Undergraduate School of Business.
