LSI Logic Enables DivX(R) Encoding for DVD Recorders With DoMiNo(R) 8603 Single-Chip Processor

DivX encoding enables up to 12 hours record time on a single DVD disc and is one of the new features expected to help drive the high-growth DVD recorder market. Announced today, the DMN-8603 is part of the new DiMeNsion(TM)-3 solution that will be demonstrated this week in the Central Hall, booth #14938 at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
