SaberTek Announced the Availability of a Complete Family of Wi-Fi RF Intellectual Properties fully compliant with IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac Specifications
The Portfolio Contains a Multitude of Silicon-Proven Cores Needed to Develop Fully Compliant Wi-Fi RF Transceivers for Wireless LAN (WLAN) Applications
Irvine, California -- October 21, 2013 -- SaberTek Inc., a leading vendor of wireless intellectual properties (IPs) and design services; announced the availability of a prolific library of intellectual properties (IPs) targeting Wi-Fi RF front ends fully compliant to the IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac standards. This family contains nearly 20 silicon-proven cores with varying degrees of functionality and complexity. They are implemented in several popular process nodes from TSMC.
Certain IPs in this portfolio have very high level of integration such as complete receive or transmit signal chains while others are smaller cores and are the basic building blocks of a typical Wi-Fi RF front-end. These basic building blocks are critical functional blocks such as low noise amplifiers (LNAs), programmable gain amplifiers (PGAs), phase locked loops (PLLs), low pass filters (LPFs), mixers, synthesizers, local oscillator chains (LOs), calibration blocks among others.
“Our objective all along has been to build a rich portfolio that addresses the needs of a wide cross section of customers having vastly different requirements” said Farbod Behbahani, CEO of SaberTek. “Decades of RF design experience have taught us that most RF IP customers require customization. Our strong design team and robust design flow have enabled us to serve the customization needs of our customers very effectively. At occasions, we have also built complete RF transceivers to meet special needs of certain customers”.
Most of the cores in this library come in multiple versions intended for single band (2.4 GHz or 5.0 GHz) as well as dual-band applications. They are all silicon-proven and can support single channel as well as Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) configurations. The process technologies of choice have been 65nm and 90nm RF CMOS processes from TSMC.
Availability
All of these IPs are silicon-proven and are available now and have exhibited outstanding performance.
