Communications Startup To Apply 32-bit MIPS-based[tm] Processor IP (Intellectual Property) In Next Generation Very-High-Bit-Rate Communications Solutions
MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif, (January 13, 2000) MIPS Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ:MIPS) today announced that Excess Bandwidth Corporation, a developer of ICs for high-bandwidth communication systems, has acquired a license for MIPS Technologies' MIPS32[tm] processor core technology. Excess Bandwidth will utilize the processor in communication ICs that will enable the next generation of high-speed communications.
