Enverv chooses Dolphin Integration's Library for their Smart metering applications
Milpitas, California and Grenoble, France. October 3, 2014 – Enverv and Dolphin Integration are proud to announce their partnership for the optimization of Enverv’s Smart metering applications, thanks to the low leakage of Dolphin Integration's standard cell library.
Relying on 30 years of experience, the standard cell library SESAME BIV subsumes the know-how of Dolphin Integration and offers extra low leakage with direct battery connection.
“Dolphin Integration enable Enverv to reach requirements of Smart metering applications” said Dr. Farrokh Farrokhi, Vice President of Engineering at Enverv. “Thanks to the unique architecture of SESAME BIV TSMC 65nm LP and Dolphin Integration’s low leakage expertise, we can save battery life and reduce our die cost in this growing market of smartgrid and smarthome.”
- The optimized standard cells for ultra-low-power enable to reduce the leakage by 1/350 compared to a conventional HVT library operating at 1.2 V.
- Thanks to the direct battery connection (from 3.3 V +/-10% to 1.2 V +/-10%), SESAME BIV allows to avoid the use of a regulator and to earn a 7x gain in density, neatly reducing the die cost.
“We are eager to announce this first collaboration with Enverv and to partake in the success of their product in the Smart metering sector”, commented Nelly ALBERTINI, Library marketing manager at Dolphin Integration. ”This partnership highlights Dolphin Integration’s low-power expertise, which is becoming essential.”
