Elliptic Semiconductor Welcomes Japanese Distributor Microtek to Partners’ Program.

Elliptic Semiconductor, a leading company in broadband wireless semiconductor products, announced today that Microtek Incorporated has become a member of its Elliptic Alliance Partner Program (EAPP). As member of the EAPP program Microtek will distribute and support Elliptic’s security and protocol processors in Japan through its professional sales and applications engineering staff.

Microtek is one of Japan’s leading integrated circuit distribution companies with 141 employees and offices in Tokyo, Nagoya and Osaka. Mictotek distributes AMD, SST, Intersil and Silicon Image products in Japan. Microtek has now recognized that it needs to develop semiconductor IP distribution and support capabilities as the semiconductor business requires this tier of product now for the Japanese market and major distributors such as Microtek need to become involved in this new business.

Elliptic will make available, through Microtek,  its entire family of virtual components, which encompass TCP/IP protocol processors with integrated security including secure socket layer (SSL) and Internet security protocol (IPSec) support. In addition, the complete family of highly optimized ciphers, hashing engines, complete SSL record processing engines and an IPSec security engine are part of the portfolio.
