Eureka Technology and Dolphin Technology offer complete DDR2/DDR3 Solution for High Performance SoC/ASIC Designs
Los Altos, California -- Feburary 12th, 2009 - Eureka Technology Inc., a leading provider of system connectivity Intellectual Property (IP) cores and Dolphin Technology, a leading provider of high performance Semiconductor Intellectual Property (SIP) today announced a joint offering of a complete and seamless DDR memory interface solution for high performance Soc/ASIC applications. The combination of Eureka DDR controller and Dolphin physical interface (DDR PHY) transceiver provide chip designers a fully integrated and validated solution for high speed DDR2 and DDR3 memory interface integration.
“This is what most SoC/ASIC designers have been asking for” said Simon Lau, President of Eureka Technology. “The fully tested solution offers small foot print, superior performance and highly customizable memory solution for new SoC/ASIC applications. Designers do not need to worry about interoperability of DDR controller and Transceiver PHY anymore”, he added.
"As a Physical IP provider, Dolphin Technology needs to ensure interoperability of it's PHY with credible Memory controller provider to reduce the customer's risk and integration time" Said Mo Tamjidi, Dolphin's President and CEO. "Eureka DDR controller and Dolphin DDR PHY together provide a flexible and high performance DDR2/DDR3 PHY/Controller solution" added Mr. Tamjidi.
The DDR2/DDR3 controller offers numerous optional and customizable features to enhance SoC/ASIC performance such as AXI, AHB, single and multi-port, etc. The core DFI interface also has an optional softPHY.
