Aragio Solutions Offers Suite of High-Performance Mixed-Signal IP and I/O Libraries Targeted to Advanced Processes from Chartered
Critical IP Components Available on Chartered’s Leading-Edge Manufacturing Platform
PLANO, Texas-- September 29, 2006--Aragio Solutions (formerly named Solid Silicon Technology, L.L.C.) (ARAGIO) today announced the availability of silicon-proven analog and mixed-signal intellectual property (IP) and I/O libraries for a range of manufacturing process nodes from Chartered Semiconductor Manufacturing (Nasdaq:CHRT) and (SGX-ST:Chartered). The two companies have been working together for many years to silicon validate Aragio’s solutions for high frequency ESD and their use in competitive I/O library offerings. The breadth of analog and mixed-signal IP, standard I/O and complex I/O pad set support is available on processes spanning from 0.18-micron to 90-nanometer (nm). The companies are working together to further qualify the ARAGIO IP on Chartered’s 65nm process as well.
ARAGIO’s innovative I/O pad architectures and robust ESD solutions have been utilized by customer SoC design teams worldwide. ARAGIO provides IC designers with a uniform IO pad set which can be customized to a specific client’s needs, or, alternatively, can be implemented as an entire library with the I/O library architecture specified by ARAGIO.
“ARAGIO is a valuable addition to our ecosystem of design enablement support, and provides chip designers with more silicon-validated IP choices. Their System Interface Circuits and other analog IP are fundamental building-blocks used in a number of customers' SoC devices,” said Walter Ng, senior director of Platform Alliances Solutions at Chartered. "We continue to work with Aragio to expand the support available for users of their IP. Designers can take full advantage of Aragio’s competitive solutions on Chartered's leading-edge manufacturing process technologies."
ARAGIO's library deliverables include a comprehensive set of views and models supporting leading design tools and methodologies. ARAGIO's worldwide network of EDA, IP and design service partners extend the ARAGIO capability to a complete set of system level design and integration solutions.
ARAGIO and Chartered have targeted a comprehensive set of 90nm 2.5V standard I/O libraries; 0.13-micron 2.5V/5.0V Tolerant standard I/O Libraries; and 0.13-micron 3.3V/5.0V Tolerant standard I/O Libraries that cover a number of Chartered process variations for both staggered and a very silicon efficient inline pad configuration. Furthermore, ARAGIO has a robust offering of complex I/O pads including SSTL_2 Class I/II, SSTL_18 Class I/II, LVDS I/O pads sets for the 90nm process. These complex I/O pads are also offered on Chartered’s 0.13-micron technology which also includes HSTL Class I/II, PCI-X, USB1.1, Ethernet MII/RMII driver pad sets, and slew rate control I/O pads. This I/O library offering enables a variety of product applications found in the consumer, commercial data processing and home office computing environments.
“Our customers must be able to easily leverage their IP investment to multiple foundries with minimum re-work. Chartered understands this and has an IP-friendly approach to customer sourcing needs. As a developer and supplier of silicon efficient IO solutions, ARAGIO has been able to successfully work with multiple clients in helping them meet their objectives,” said Robert L. Veal, Sales and Marketing at ARAGIO. “From our perspective, the Chartered IP program provides an excellent process for validating and characterizing high-performance IP with Chartered technologies. Early silicon verification has helped us fulfill our mission to provide customers with high-quality silicon-proven products.”
