STAR1020 is a state-of-the-art low-latency digital noise cancelling engine. Using a patented approach it enables a fully digital transfer function to be implemented with both feed back and feed forward paths in a noise cancelling solution. The approach realizes less than 2us of latency while consuming very low current. The digital nature of the transfer function enables the loop dynamics to be highly flexible and hence easily customized at factory or on-the-fly. The digital nature of the transfer function (compared to traditional analog solutions) enables a substantial reduction in the bill of materials, hence resulting in significant cost reduction and smaller form factor. The high level of integration and minimal BoM with STAR1020 enables the design to be easily integrated in compact platforms such as Bluetooth ear buds.
STAR1020 is available to qualify using a listenable demonstration platform which enables the StarIC digital noise cancelling algorithm. A wireless control software platform is also available to enable customization of the transfer function and other features in the solution.
The design is available in synthesizable RTL and can be combined with other StarIC IP if requested. Through its partners StarIC can also provide acoustic consultation to enable the design of an optimal and stable transfer function.
