Digital temperature sensor

Overview

STAR2020 is a silicon proven digital temperature sensor in a Silterra 1.8V/5V, 0.18um CMOS process. It uses a Delta-Sigma modulator architecture to enable a flexible resolution for the resultant digital output. The sensor achieves an error of < +/-2C. StarIC is able to customize an optional CIC with digital processing to enable the user to achieve an output digital word size between 8 and 16-bits. STAR2020 uses a two point factory calibration to achieve optimal absolute temperature accuracy. The digital temperature sensor consumes only 40uA of current (analog PTAT:10uA, ADC: 30uA).
