Kilopass Appoints Charlie Schadewitz Vice President of Sales To Continue Its Growth
Industry Veteran Brings Organizational & Sales Process Disciplines To Help Scale Kilopass
Santa Clara, Calif., June 5, 2013 – Kilopass Technology Inc., a leading provider of semiconductor logic non-volatile memory (NVM) intellectual property (IP), announced today that long-time industry veteran Charlie Schadewitz has joined the company as Vice President of Sales. With 25 years of experience in selling, 19 of which were in a vice president capacity, he is well suited to implement and drive Kilopass’ ambitious growth goals for bookings and revenue. In his last position at Atrenta in San Jose, Calif., he increased company revenue 10-fold in pursuit to being a publicly held company.
“I am thrilled to have Charlie join our executive team,” said Charlie Cheng, President and CEO at Kilopass. “I worked with Charlie early in our careers at a pioneering silicon IP company, and his career growth and success at Cadence and Atrenta has been impressive. We are fortunate to have him join our team to propel the growth of Kilopass as we prepare for the next major transition in the company’s business.”
“I am excited to be taking the helm of Kilopass at this next phase of its evolution and to renewing my association with Charlie,” said Schadewitz. “This is a great opportunity to bring my experience to help accelerate the growth of this ground-breaking IP company.”
Having been a sales executive for much of his career, Mr. Schadewitz brings with him years of selling, management expertise and breadth of industry network. But more importantly, he brings to Kilopass several specific sales and organizational capabilities. Mr. Schadewitz is unique in the industry in seeing the three distinctive phases of Silicon Valley companies. At ASPEC Technology, Mr. Schadewitz took the start-up from its early infancy to $30M in revenue. At Atrenta, he participated as the management team to expand from a single product company to a family of products in pursuit to being a publicly held company. Lastly, at Cadence, Mr. Schadewitz’s sales team was responsible for $200M of revenue, and worked across several functional groups and product lines to achieve the business plan. His experience in helping companies in these distinctively different phases will help Kilopass with its upcoming transformation.
