Arasan Chip Systems Completes UNH Interoperability Testing for 10/100 Ethernet Solutions Suite
SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Dec. 12, 2007
-- Arasan Chip Systems, Inc., (``Arasan''), a leader in Intellectual Property (IP) solutions -- IP cores, Verification IP (VIP), Software drivers and stacks and Hardware solutions, announced today that its silicon proven 10/100 Ethernet IP solution has completed interoperability testing at the University of New Hampshire's Interoperability Lab (UNH IOL). Testing was conducted with Arasan's hardware development kit and software drivers, ensuring a ``Total IP Solution.'' In addition to the 10/100 Ethernet solution, Arasan is in process with UNH on their Gigabit Ethernet IP solution.
``The lab stringently applied IEEE standards to put Arasan's MAC core through its paces, testing for things such as bit integrity, deference, encapsulation, frame size and collision handling,'' said Peter Scruton, manager of the UNH-IOL's Fast Ethernet Consortium. ``Arasan is utilizing its membership in our Fast Ethernet Consortium in a way that demonstrates strong commitment to industry standards designed to facilitate improved networks.''
``We are very pleased to have completed the testing of our 10/100 Ethernet IP,'' said Kevin Yee, Vice President of Marketing at Arasan. ``In working with UNH, designers can be assured that Arasan's 10/100 Ethernet IP solution provides the fastest time to market, while offering the highest degree of design success.''
10/100 Ethernet Solution
The Arasan 10/100 Ethernet Solution provides all the components needed for development, from the IP core to the Verification IP, software drivers and the hardware development platform. The IP core includes RMM compliant synthesizable RTL for 10/100 Media Access Controller (MAC) Core with MII or optional RMII interface, easy-to-use test environment and synthesis scripts. The IP core provides enhanced programmable features for minimizing application complexity and pre/post message processing. It can be easily integrated into any design project and customized for a native interface. Software drivers are readily available for Windows and Linux and can be ported to a variety of different OS platforms.
The Arasan 10/100 IP solution, including the 10/100 IP core, the VIP, software drivers and hardware development kit is available today and is currently in use by several customers.
