7 GHz to 28 GHz Low phase Noise Fractional-N Synthesizer

Overview

The WEA728S45G is a two-octave microwave fractional-N frequency synthesizer with integrated phase sync function, suitable for applications where phase coherency is required, such as phased array systems.

It uses a reference input ranging from 25 MHz to 300 MHz, either generated with a Crystal and  the integrated Crystal Oscillator or provided from an LVDS driver.

The WEA728S45G generates RF signals spanning from a frequency of 7 GHz up to 28 GHz using a bank of four integrated VCOs a RF frequency doubler.

The synthesizer integrates automatic VCO and VCO-Band selection system.

The WEA728S45G is powered by 1.8 V supply.

It is implemented in the GlobalFoundries 45RFSOI process.
