The ADC2859X is a 1.8V/1.1V dual supply-voltage 16-ch 12-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC) with 3-ch S/H(sample and hold) that supports conversion rate (FS) up to 1.25MS/s, designed in 28nm FDS CMOS process. It consists of a 16-to-1 analog input MUX, 3-ch S/H, a successive approximation (SAR) type monolithic ADC, a clock generator, and level-shifters for low-voltage digital interface.
The ADC2859X converts an analog input signal to 12-bit digital output codes, providing 3-ch S/H and power-down control. The input range is typically 0V to 1.8V with ADC Core Only and 0.15V to [AVDD18-0.15] with S/H mode. The 16-to-1 analog input MUX selects one of the 16 analog input channels to be sampled and converted. The device operates with two input clocks, the main operation clock(CLK) and the sampling clock(SOC). The frequencies of CLK and SOC are 25MHz with 50% duty cycle and 1.25MHz with 30% duty cycle, respectively. The ADC2859X is suitable for mobile application processor, battery checker, portable equipment, and low power application.
