Physical IP network effects
Although I am certainly a processor and marketing centric guy at heart, previously I have spent quite a number of years doing high-end circuit and physical design while submitting several patents in the process. When ARM acquired Artisan Components back in 2004, my first two related questions were A) isn’t a NAND gate just a NAND gate? B) Are there really any network effects in Physical IP?
