Although Mobile World Congress 2010 is now behind us, the press continues to work on discerning the full meaning of all that was shown and said. Today’s article in the New York Times “For Chip Makers, the Next Battle Is in Smartphones” is a prime example. The Cortex-A family of processors get a lot of attention due to trillion dollar competitors (cumulative market cap) going after billion dollar sockets. The associated eye-candy feels commonplace at times, the competition is grueling, and the game can change at any moment!
