XEC is a high performance 1000M/100M/10M Ethernet Controller IP.
Overview
XEC is a high performance 1000M/100M/10M Ethernet Controller IP. It support GMII/RGMII/MII/RMII MAC-PHY interface and support AXI/AHB system bus.
XEC can receive the data from Ethernet PHY to the AXI/AHB bus, and to send out data from AXI/AHB bus to the Ethernet PHY.
Key features
- 10/100/1000 full-duplex, 10/100 half-duplex. The customer can choose only support 10/100M when configure the IP
- GMII/RGMII/MII/RMII interface
- AXI/AHB system interface. The customer can choose AXI or AHB interface when configure the IP
- Compliant with IEEE 802.3-2008 standard and IEEE 802.3az standard
- Support to configure the total rx and tx SRAM size with the value of 8KB, 12KB, 16KB and 24KB. The customer can choose the size when configure the IP
- Up to 32 additional 48-bit mac source address filter with mask for each byte. The customer can choose the number from 0 to 32 when configure the IP
- Up to 32 additional 48-bit mac destination address filter with mask for each byte. The customer can choose the number from 0 to 32 when configure the IP
- Receive packet and send packet’s MIB statistics support
- Asymmetric/symmetric flow control
- SVLAN and VLAN detect
- CVLAN tag insertion/removal
- Magic packet detect
- Multicast frame, broadcast frame and unicast address filtering
- Support jumbo packets up to 4KB
- Support clause22 and clause 45 MDIO operation
- IPv4, IPv6, TCP, UDP, ICMP checksum verification in Rx path
- IPv4, IPv6, TCP, UDP, ICMP checksum offload in Tx path
- Support dynamic clock gating to save power
- Support 1588 PTP protocol. The customer can choose this function when configure the IP
- Support PPS_OUT function to output the local RTC value to the external PPS_OUT pad
- Support to sync the local RTC with the external PPS_IN pad when acted as a 1588 master. The customer can choose this function when configure the IP
