Imagination Technologies -- Further Licence Agreement Signed with Samsung Electronics
-- Imagination Technologies Group plc (LSE:IMG; "Imagination") a leader in System-on-Chip Intellectual Property ("SoC IP") - reports that further to the license agreement announced in April 2008, Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. (“Samsung”) has signed a multi-use licence agreement for a second core from Imagination's POWERVR SGX graphics acceleration core family for use in SoC (System-on-Chip) devices targeting mobile, consumer and navigation markets.
This new licence with Samsung extends the relationship, which has previously included licences for other cores from Imagination's POWERVR MBX, POWERVR SGX and POWERVR VXD video families.
Under the terms of its licensing arrangements, Imagination receives licence fees and royalty revenues on SoCs incorporating Imagination's IP.
