Xylon Presents New 12-Channel GMSL3/GMSL2 FMC+ ExpansionBoard
April 21, 2026 -- Xylon has introduced its latest FMC expansion board designed to bring high-speed automotive connectivity to advanced video and vision AI systems. The new logiFMC-GMSL3/2-96726A 12-channel FMC+ mezzanine card enables seamless interfacing of up to twelve video cameras with FPGA and adaptive SoC platforms.
The board supports Gigabit Multimedia Serial Link (GMSL3 and GMSL2) technology from Analog Devices®, one of the most widely adopted high-speed serial links for in-vehicle video, audio, and data transmission. It is specifically designed for rapid prototyping and evaluation across a broad range of video and vision AI applications, including ADAS, autonomous driving, machine vision, surveillance, medical imaging, UAV systems, and more.
At its core, the logiFMC+ GMSL3/2 integrates three MAX96726A deserializer devices, each supporting four GMSL inputs. The solution delivers data rates of up to 12 Gbps per GMSL3 link and 6 Gbps per GMSL2 link, converting incoming streams into MIPI CSI-2 2-lane C-PHY outputs.
The mezzanine card is fully compatible with the AMD® Versal™ AI Edge Series Gen 2 VEK385 Evaluation Kit, enabling all 12 video channels via its FMC+ connector. It can also be used with other FMC+-compatible AMD and third-party platforms; however, the number of supported channels may vary depending on the carrier board’s pinout and capabilities.
The logiFMC-GMSL3/2-96726A-12C is now available through Xylon. Get the full datasheet:
