Virage Logic Appoints Industry Veteran as Director of Corporate Marketing

Company Strengthens Marketing Organization to Accelerate its Growth as a Leading Provider of Application-Optimized Semiconductor IP

Fremont, CA - December  2,  2002, Virage Logic Corp. (Nasdaq: VIRL), a global leader in application-optimized semiconductor IP platforms based on memory, logic and design tools, today announced the appointment of Sabina Burns to director of corporate marketing and communications. Burns is responsible for continuing to drive the company's repositioning from that of the leading embedded memory provider to a global leader in application-optimized semiconductor IP platforms.

Burns brings 18 years of marketing and communications experience in the electronic design automation (EDA) and embedded software industries to Virage Logic. Most recently, Burns served as Director of Corporate Marketing for Perfect Commerce, a privately held enterprise supply chain management company providing e-sourcing software and services. Prior to that, Burns served as director of marketing communications for Mentor Graphics' embedded software, IP and system-on-chip businesses. During her 15 years at Mentor Graphics, Burns also held marketing communications positions in the company's IC and PCB business units.
