OTTAWA--Mosaid Technologies Inc. today reported revenues increased 89% to $18.3 million in the company's first fiscal quarter, ended July 28, compared to $9.7 million in the same period last year. The fabless semiconductor company and supplier of memory test systems said its net earnings for the quarter totaled $1.3 million vs. $497,000 in the period last year. The licensing of memory patents to Hitachi Ltd., multiple orders for testers from Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., and development of an embedded high-speed DRAM macrocell for Analog Devices Inc. all contributed to the higher results in the just-ended quarter, said George Cwynar, president and CEO of Mosaid.
