PricewaterhouseCoopers Launches Upgraded E-Business Version of Intellectual Property Exchange
New York--Aug. 24, 1999--PricewaterhouseCoopers (New York) launched the second generation of its web-site, The Intellectual Property Exchange (IPEX), as an e-business. IPEX's interactive features provide subscribers with a central forum to obtain and share knowledge on a range of intellectual property matters, including patents, trademarks, copyrights and business know-how.
The IPEX can help intellectual asset management (IAM) professionals in search of intellectual property acquisition, joint venture and licensing opportunities. Subscriber services include: The ability to submit and review intellectual property rights and technology that are available for buying, selling, licensing or trading; a licensing database that includes summaries and reviews of more than 4,000 publicly available Securities and Exchange Commission filings; and estimates of a preliminary royalty rate through a search engine that reviews calculated contributions to profit of intellectual property in select industries.
