NXP Acquires Athena SCS
Acquisition strengthens security solutions across a broad range of applications
Eindhoven, Netherlands, March 10, 2015 - NXP Semiconductors N.V. (NASDAQ:NXPI) today announced that it will acquire Athena SCS Ltd., a provider of solutions securing the rapidly expanding connected world. The acquisition will further strengthen NXP’s offering in providing secure solutions across a multitude of applications in the areas of Internet of Things (IoT), portable & wearables, and automotive.
