Imagination Technologies licenses further high-performance graphics processor core to MediaTek

October 7, 2011 - Imagination Technologies Group plc (LSE: IMG; "Imagination") – a leader in System-on-Chip Intellectual Property ("SoC IP") - reports that it has signed a license agreement with MediaTek Inc., a leading fabless semiconductor company for wireless communications and digital multimedia solutions, for a member of Imagination's POWERVR SGX Series5XT graphics processor family. MediaTek will deploy the technology in its future SoC devices targeting the digital TV market.

Under the terms of its licensing arrangements Imagination receives license fees, and royalty revenues on shipment of SoCs incorporating Imagination's IP.
