ARM CEO Touts IoT Security, Fire Safety
SANTA CLARA, Calif. – ARM couldn’t have done it better if they tried. Just as CEO Simon Segars reached the climax of his TechCon keynote on the importance of security for the Internet of Things (IoT), a fire alarm rang out.
“This is for real,” Segars said as hundreds of conference attendees headed outside the Santa Clara Convention Center. Apparently, Segars’ father was a fire fighter and the CEO takes these things seriously. While people were let back into the keynote hall within minutes, this reporter hoped the fire alarm was a cool stunt.
